She was super popular after that during the tea reception. Obviously. Her speech was the funniest and most entertaining and delivered with SUCH panache. ^_^ I'm SO proud of her. And of course, as one of the two people in kimono, she was very easy to spot and grab and compliment. ^_^

The kimono dressers were super nice too, but man. They tied me so tight and I had to sit in the same seat for over two hours. My lungs, ribs and chest hurts. O_o.

This also means she gets to go to Kagoshima for a homestay again! And $500 allowance and airplane tickets to Japan! Wow!

It takes a lot to make me blog nowadays. Complete inability to finish cosplay costume? Nah, no time to blog. Super busy at work recently, so much so that I stayed till 10.15PM last night in the office? Nah, no time to blog. My life turned into yaoiland (and I'm the rabid yaoi fangirl in a yaoi manga) recently? Nah, too sensitive to blog about.

But a bunch of cockroaches in my kitchen/bathroom/living room? Hell yeah.

Decided to leave the office at a decent time today (decent time being 7.30PM on fridays when I can technically leave at 5.30PM... decent being a relative time obviously) and since I had already told my parents I wasn't going home for dinner (I thought I would be working late, but didn't realise I'd be utterly sick of the office by 7PM), I decided to grab dinner outside, and ignore work for tonight. Ended up at Liang Court, met Mei-chan and Tash by accident, and together we met Zeph and BA separately at two different locations at Liang Court. How coincidental. Hung out and managed to chill out for the first time in the past few weeks (seems a lot longer when my workdays are longer) and felt much better by the time I got home.

By the time I prepared to go bathe, I'd admit it was a late hour of 1AM thereabouts. Got to the kitchen (my bathroom is in the kitchen) and as I was washing some plates at the sink a BIG cockroach scuttled past my hands on the countertop. Now, I'm perfectly capable of killing cockroaches, especially the smaller ones. The big ones make me feel icky and they just MOVE so bloody fast. So I get a bit creeped out and I suspect, a bit scared of the big cockroaches. Flying cockroaches just reduce me to a squealing screeching idiot. And I HATE cockroaches. First instinct is to kill when I see them. To make sure they are very much dead before I can rest.

( Cut for long story about how we found 8 cockroaches in my kitchen tonight. Shudder. )
